American Bully FAQ

Royal Bully Stars Kennel - American Bully FAQ

How can I reserve and buy an American Pocket Bully puppy?

The first step is to contact us (via phone, e-mail or social networks) and express your interest in a puppy. After the initial discussion about your wishes and the selection of a specific puppy or litter, the reservation is confirmed by payment of the agreed deposit.

By paying a deposit, you ensure that the chosen puppy is kept for you until collection, and the rest of the amount for the puppy is paid upon collection or before sending the puppy for transport.

After the puppy reaches the appropriate age and completes all health examinations, we arrange a time to pick up or deliver the new pet.

The price of a puppy depends on several factors – such as the pedigree, the quality and success of the bloodline of the parents, the sex, the rarity of the color and the exhibition potential of the puppy.

In our kennel, the price of a high-quality American Pocket Bully puppy generally ranges from around €1,500 and up, while top specimens from champion lines can reach a significantly higher price.

Keep in mind that getting a healthy, purebred puppy is a long-term investment – trying to get by on the cheap can often lead to higher costs later (eg unexpected veterinary expenses).

For an exact offer and information about current or planned litters, it is best to contact us directly.

Payment for the puppy can be made in several ways, depending on what suits you best. We accept bank transfer (direct payment to our account) as a standard option for domestic and international customers.

Also, for clients from abroad, we enable electronic payments such as PayPal, as well as the Western Union transfer service.

After we have arranged the reservation of the puppy, we will provide you with all the necessary information to pay the deposit and settle the remaining amount later.

If you have special requirements regarding payment, we are open to an agreement – our goal is to make the purchase process as simple and secure as possible for the customer.

Yes, it is possible to arrange the safe transport of a puppy to your city or even abroad, respecting all animal welfare regulations.

Buyers can always pick up a puppy from us in person at the kennel, which we recommend when feasible, because you have the opportunity to meet our adult dogs and see the environment in which the puppy grew up.

For customers who are unable to come in person, we work with reliable pet transport companies and licensed pet couriers. Delivery is possible all over the world – for closer destinations we can organize land transport (by car), and for international customers air transport in air-conditioned special boxes or accompanied by a “pet nanny” service, in accordance with current veterinary regulations.

Before sending, we will make sure that the puppy has all the necessary documentation (microchip, passport, health certificate, export papers), and we support the buyer with customs procedures and import permits if they are needed.

Note: transport costs are not included in the price of the puppy – they are paid separately and depend on the destination and delivery method. It is up to you to ensure the conditions prescribed by the laws of your country for importing a puppy, but we will be happy to help you with advice and information from experience (we have successful experience of transporting dogs throughout Europe, USA, Canada, etc.).

It is important to us that every transport takes place safely, so that the puppy arrives at your home healthy and peaceful.

Yes, every puppy from our kennel comes with complete canine and veterinary documentation.

First of all, there is a pedigree (pedigree) issued by a recognized kennel registry – it guarantees that the puppy is a purebred American Bully and shows the origin (ancestors) of the puppy.

Our American Pocket Bully puppies are registered with the relevant organization (eg ABKC – American Bully Kennel Club) and you will receive their original pedigree certificate.

In addition to the pedigree, the puppy goes to its new home with its microchip (implanted and registered in your name upon purchase) and passport/vaccination book.

We also deliver an international veterinary passport (so-called pet passport) that contains records of all received vaccines and treatments.

In addition, you will receive a health certificate from an authorized veterinarian (especially important for traveling abroad) as confirmation that the puppy is healthy.

Therefore, the new owner will receive all the necessary documentation for inspection and possession, including the purchase agreement, in order to have a full legal and health basis for the care of the puppy.

We adhere to the practice of not separating puppies from their mother and litter until they are ready, which is around 8 weeks of age (about two months) at the earliest. By this age, puppies have usually received their first round of vaccines and acquired basic immunity from their mother’s milk, as well as social skills in the litter.

However, many responsible breeders (ourselves included) prefer to wait until around 10 to 12 weeks of age before a puppy goes to a new home, as by then the puppies can receive a second round of vaccinations, be better socialized and be strong enough. At 12 weeks of age, the puppy can already receive the rabies vaccine, which is a requirement for traveling abroad.

For international delivery, it is often necessary for the puppy to be at least 15 weeks old (12 weeks of rabies vaccination + 3 weeks of post-vaccination quarantine, according to EU and other countries’ laws).

In short, puppies are usually released to domestic buyers at 2-3 months of age, and to foreign buyers usually at around 4 months, in order to meet all health conditions. We send each puppy away only when we assess that it is physically and emotionally ready for a change of environment, so that the transition goes as smoothly as possible.

Absolutely – the health of the puppies is our first priority. All puppies receive complete veterinary care from birth until they go to their new home. This entails regular veterinary examinations, as well as the implementation of a preventive protection calendar: the puppies are cleaned of parasites several times (deworming), and receive all the appropriate vaccines at the scheduled times (against infectious diseases, and at the age of ~3 months and the rabies vaccine, if they stay longer with us).

Before delivery, the puppy will be thoroughly examined by a veterinarian and a certificate of health for the trip will be issued. Of course, each puppy also gets its own microchip (which is registered to the new owner) and a veterinary passport with recorded vaccinations.

In addition to regular care, we also pay great attention to the prevention of inherited diseases – our breeding dogs have undergone all necessary health examinations and genetic testing before mating, in order to ensure healthy offspring.

Also, the purchase contract comes with a health guarantee: it defines guarantees against certain hereditary defects or health problems (e.g. we guarantee that the puppy does not have genetic diseases known in the breed, or we offer the possibility of replacement/reading in case of detection of a serious birth defect within a certain period). With this, we want to provide customers with the certainty that they are getting a healthy dog, and at the same time, we remain available for all advice on health care and care even after the puppy goes to a new home.

Early socialization of a puppy is extremely important for the formation of a stable character, and that is why we try to accustom our puppies to various situations from the first weeks of life.

Puppies grow up in a family environment – we keep them inside the home, not in separate cages, so they are constantly in contact with people. From a young age, they get used to human touch and petting, as well as the presence of children and other dogs, which helps them develop a friendly and confident temperament.

We also gradually introduce them to different sounds and sights of everyday life (such as household appliances, the sound of cars, different environments), so that they are as resistant as possible to stressful situations.

We regularly provide controlled running and outdoor play (in the yard or park) when the weather permits, so that the puppies gain experience outside the home as well.

In addition, we also start basic training and routine – for example, we work on getting the puppies used to defecating in the designated place (hygienic mats) and getting to know the basics of the leash and collar through play. All these activities contribute to the puppy going to its new home well-adjusted, self-confident and ready to continue learning and socializing.

We always give future owners guidance on how to continue the socialization and training process, so that the transition is smooth for both the puppy and the receiving family.

Except in special cases. In accordance with the law and ethical guidelines, we do not practice ear or tail docking on our dogs. Ear cropping for aesthetic reasons is prohibited by law in many countries, including in Serbia (this practice has been illegal here since 2009).

An exception is allowed only for justified medical reasons, but such situations are extremely rare. We believe that there is no need or justification for such a procedure – the health and well-being of our pets is our priority, and the American Bully retains its recognizable, sympathetic-serious expression even with naturally lowered ears. Moreover, most modern breeders and owners of this breed support the natural appearance of dogs.

Our puppies leave the kennel with their ears uncropped, and it is up to the new owners to follow the legal regulations of their state regarding possible cosmetic procedures.
